Description
The Beachcomber is my dream 26+ modern retro MTB; essentially the frame that matches the Barnacle fork. An All Terrain Bike if you must. Or as I like to call it, an MTBMX, as it’s basically an effort to merge a BMX and MTB into something functional. Its geometry is scientifically proven to enhance fun and adventure with the use of short-rear-end technology, an accommodatingly spacious front triangle, and yuge tire clearance (26 x 2.8″). It also sports an abundance of cage mounts, adjustable dropouts, and stealth dropper routing, utilizing only the most standardized standards such as a straight 1-1/8″ head tube, BSA threaded bottom bracket, IS disc brake mounts and external cable routing.
If you’d like a look at how the Beachcomber came to life, unpack the influences, riding philosophy and design decisions behind this playful, old-school-inspired, modern 26″ bike, click the link below.

Wheel / Tire size
26 x 2.8″ – The essence of the Beachcomber lies within its 26+ platform. The geometry and clearances are optimized for this combination, as well as the way it’s intended to ride.
Also works great with 26 x 2.3″ tires, or up to 27.5 x 2.5″ at maximum.
Geometry
Here’s a size guide to use as a general reference point.
XS (46): 155–165 cm (5’1″–5’5″)
S (50): 165-175cm (5’5″-5’9″)
M (54): 175-185cm (5’9″-6’1″)
L (58): 185-195cm (6’1″-6’5″)
If you’re in between sizes, I’d generally suggest the following:
-Choose the smaller size if you’re looking for a more fun and aggressive build with more room for a dropper and riser bars.
-Go for the bigger size if you want something with more framebag capacity and maybe some sweepy bars.

Also have a look at the drawings indicating saddle height and dropper length in the gallery above. It’s hopefully a helpful way for you to decide what size bike and dropper fits best. All the numbers are up on the Bike Insights website if you wanna geek out, but otherwise these pictures can give you a good visual representation of saddle to bar height, and amount of seatpost sticking out.
Saddle height mockups
Please use the last images in the gallery above as a reference for determining the frame size, saddle height, and amount of travel you need. Please note these drawings do not take crank arm length and the saddle thickness/height into account, but are a very good start.
“Saddle height” is measured from the middle of the bottom bracket to the top of the saddle, along the seattube.
Remember, if you measure your saddle height to be in between two sizes, you can either choose the longer one and shim it down by 10 or 20mm, or you can choose the shorter one and simply raise the seatpost a bit. You’re welcome to send me a message on Instagram or email if you’re in doubt :)
Add-ons to consider
–WTB Ranger 26 x 2.8″ tires
–WTB ST i40 26″ rims
–OneUp Components dropper
–Wit Slingers Compact Frame Bag
How does Titanium ride? Titanium is a delightfully springy ride, not only because it’s lighter, but also due to its flex. When pedalling out of the saddle, the frame has a certain elasticity which translates nicely into a more comfortable and forgiving ride. It’s almost as if it dances beneath you, light on its feet, feeling very nimble, lively, and responsive.
The Titanium fork has a bit more flex compared to steel, and does a good job of dampening vibrations.
For me, it’s just as much the fact that its raw surface will never corrode, doesn’t require paint, and doesn’t care about scratches or dings. It even ages well, as the tube surfaces become a canvas full of scratches, smudges, and polished sections from bag straps.
Is this a mountain bike? Although these bikes are built tough, they are not intended for downhill mountain biking or similar gnarly conditions. If you’re looking to send it off big jumps or drops, maybe find a more suitable frame, or proceed at you’re own risk.

– See the FAQs on the About Page for more information.
– Payment is the full price at the time of pre-order.
